A simple locked door restricting free access to a property is usually enough to put most opportunist thieves off.Locking doors during normal business hours is very annoying particularly when there are lots of staff and visitors coming and going. Savage Security Systems can help by installing a restricted door access system by means of a coded lock where a pin number is used to release the lock.

Another option to consider is a proximity reader that will release the lock when the person wearing the prox card/fob approaches the door, a higher security remit may be required for both pin and prox to be used before gaining authorized access.

There are more simple and sophisticated types of controlled access available that can control when and how long a person can enter a specific area as well as total restrictions to certain areas. Managers can also have a computer based monitoring system that will provide invaluable information on times and dates staff entered or left the building.
